Q: How is K.I.U. fighting Coronavirus COVID-19
A:
It is critical to be safe during this scary time. Since the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on January 30, 2020, and a pandemic on March 11, 2020 K.I.U. has implemented the following:
• A mandatory cleared daily pre-arrival Covid-19 screening is required before we allow anyone access into our office or supply rooms *this is not a covid-kit to test for covid-19.
• Temperature checks for each staff and team member at the start of each workday.
• Posted required to wear face mask policies on all access points of our office and supply rooms.
• Posted CDC guidelines with information and updates related to the coronavirus disease throughout our office and supply rooms.
• Supplied reusable face masks for our staff and team members and mandates wearing them while in all properties where clients are present and, in our office, and supply rooms.
• Provide hand sanitizer for our team members and staff.
• Increased our disinfecting and sanitation throughout our office and company vehicles and ask staff and team members to do the same.
• Continue to enforce our policy on the proper PPE to wear for every job, including but not limited to gloves at all times and face masks when clients and other team members are present within 6 ft.
• Continue to encourage each staff and team member to wash their hands for 20 seconds and use hand sanitizer when no water and soap is available.
• Continue to encourage social distancing, at work and on their personal time.
Q: What is the hourly rate for services?
A:
Every cleaning type is different, and so are its hourly rates. To get the most current rate for the type of service you need, click here and select how many cleanings and hours you’d like to book for an exact total. And remember, add ons are FREE!!
Q: Can I use coupons more than once?
A:
All coupons are one use per person, per household and cannot be combined with any other coupons unless expressed on the coupon. Commercial and Janitorial clients, Landlords, and Property Managers as well. *Each coupon carries its own minimum value and terms and conditions.
Q: What will happen if I forget to pay my invoice?
A:
Invoiced clients are required to make their payments on or before the due date. Payments 14 days delinquent will cause an interruption in cleaning services until all past due balances are paid.
Q: Can I add a tip in my booking?
A:
Unfortunately, our system does not allow online tipping, however, you are more than welcome to tip your cleaner personally with cash.
Q: What is the hourly rate for services?
A:
Our hourly base rate depends on the services you choose. For example, if you choose Commercial cleaning services, our hourly base rate is $38.25 per hour but a Move in cleaning service is $35.70 per hour. Each cleaning type and need is different, therefore making your custom quote unique. Everyone’s quote will not be the same, and neither are your living and work lifestyles.

Any and all add on’s are now FREE and included in your hourly services. Just click on what type of cleaning you need and select and add on.
Q: Could there be any additional charges outside of the online billing submission?
A:
Yes, A cancellation fee. K.I.U. will charge a cancellation fee if the client does not give notice of cancellation before 5:00 pm the day before the cleaning. The fee is $50.00. *This includes If the client requests the team member to return at another day or time without notice.
Yes, there could be an additional fee if you provide inaccurate details of the property being cleaned. Example. There is a scaling process to determine the level of cleaning required for our team members to know how long the cleaning will take as well as what to bring for it. It is described as follows. You select your property cleanliness level on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being exceptionally clean, almost not dirty at all, to 10 being it is extremely dirty. If you selected your property is a 3 and our team members arrive and feel it’s a 7. The office staff will be contacted and will evaluate the images of the location and would either approve or deny the client or the team members’ number and proceed with the cleaning. If there will be additional fees the client will have to accept them before the cleaning either begins or continues.
Q: Do you provide refunds?
A:
No, K.I.U. does not provide cash refunds. We clean until you are happy. If you are unhappy with your cleaning please contact us within 24 hours from the completion of your cleaning for a team or staff member to visit or revisit the conditions you’d like addressed.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A:
We accept all major credit and debit cards including checks that are cleared at least 3 days prior to the start of your cleaning date.
Team members are not allowed to handle cash for security reasons; therefore, we don’t accept payment in cash. You are welcome to tip our team members in cash.
We do not accept PayPal as a payment option. It may be selected for quotes; however, it will not be accepted as payment of services. Once the quote has been accepted, the client MUST provide a check or credit card to be added to the calendar.
Q: How do I find my referral number and how does it work?
A:
Your referral number can be found in your client portal. It consists of an alphanumeric pattern of 16 characters. When you refer someone to K.I.U. give them your unique set of numbers and you will receive $25.00 off your next cleaning after the referred has received their 1st cleaning. The referred will receive $15.00 off of their 1st cleaning. Referee and Referred can refer as many people as they’d like, therefore, you could potentially have free cleaning services depending on how many of your referrals schedule.
Q: How do I use my coupon code?
A:
When scheduling your next cleaning all you have to do is add it into the coupon code section in our booking platform.
Q: Is there a satisfaction guarantee?
A:
Absolutely, if you are not satisfied with our cleaning, notify our office within 24 hours so we may return to re-clean what’s been missed.
Q: When will my credit or debit card be charged?
A:
The day before your cleaning, your card on file will have a soft hold placed on it until the next day when the cleaning is complete and charged accordingly based on the cleaning services received.
Q: Is there an upcharge for Eco-friendly?
A:
No, no matter what cleaning solutions you choose your maid cleaning total will not be affected.
Q: Do you charge by the house, room or hours
A:
K.I.U. prefers to give our clients that option. You can schedule a cleaning online that reflects the size and cleaning condition of your property, including specific rooms only under our Add On category, or you can schedule only a certain number of hours for your cleaning. You also have the option of having a personal assessment and getting your quote for your specific home or office. So, yes, we give you that option.
Q: How often can I have my services?
A:
K.I.U. makes scheduling so easy. You can schedule your cleaning as much or as little as you like. We are completely flexible with your frequency of services. You can choose daily, weekly, bi-weekly, triweekly, monthly, or every six weeks. The choice is yours!
Q: How do I book a cleaning?
A:
It’s quick, easy, and painless. You could give us a call and we can either walk you through it or book it for you. You can also do it online by clicking this link – when you get there enter the size of your home or business, the scale level it is and any add on’s you may want then and the date and time you’d like for your cleaner to arrive. Add payment details and click Book! That’s it, it’s just that easy with K.I.U.
Q: How much notice is needed before scheduling?
A:
We ask that you provide us with at least 24-48 hours’ notice but in some cases, same-day cleaning is an option, just not a guarantee.
Q: Is K.I.U. insured and Bonded?
A:
Yes, K.I.U. Cleaning Inc. is fully Insured and Bonded and all our employees are covered by Workman’s Comp.

Yes, we take great pride in knowing you want K.I.U. to clean. Finding a new place doesn’t mean you’ll have to clean it. We’ll make sure to get your home move-in ready for you. Or if you’re moving out, we’ll get it clean to ensure you get your security deposit back.

Q: How many team members are sent out?
A:
Quite naturally this would depend on each job. In most cases there will be two (2) team members to arrive. If it’s a small job, less than three (4) hours, we could send one (1) team member. If the job is larger or requires more hands, we could send as many as eight (8) team members at a time. If you need a specific amount of team members, you can pay for it the same way you would pay for additional hours.
